オハイオ州コロンバス出身。コロンバス・カレッジ・オブ・アート・アンド・デザインにてファインアート・イラストレーションを専攻し、BFA（美術学士）を取得。
大学在学中より、カーマンズに所属し全米のテーマパークや動物園でライブポートレイトを描き始める。
卒業後はアニメーションの世界を志しロサンゼルスへ移住。The Walt Disney Company、Paramount studio、Fox Entertainment、Funko、Googleなど世界を代表する企業で
キャラクターアートやアートディレクションを手がける。
現在はThe Walt Disney Companyとのアーティスト契約を結ぶ一方、国際的なイラストエージェンシー「Illustration X」に所属。ライブポートレイトやポップアート作品など幅広く展開し、日米を拠点に活動している。10分以内に描き上げるライブポートレイトはロサンゼルスで大人気。
約30年にわたる画家としての経験から生まれたオリジナル画法で、ヴィンテージとポップが響き合う独自の世界観を描く。唯一無二のスタイルを持つアーティスト。

Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Quincy Ray Sutton currently works internationally, based in Los Angeles and Japan. He earned a BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) in Fine Art Illustration from Columbus College of Art and Design. While attending college, he began working as a caricature artist at theme parks and other venues. After graduating, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in animation.
He has worked on character art, graphic design, and art direction for world-renowned companies such as The Walt Disney Company, Jerry Leigh, MGA Entertainment, Paramount studio, Fox Entertainment and Funko. Currently working under contract with The Walt Disney Company, he is also represented by the international illustration agency Illustration X, where he creates a wide range of works, primarily live portraits and pop art.
His live painting sessions, which he completes in under 10 minutes, are hugely popular in both Los Angeles and Japan. During his more than 20-year career as an artist, he has become adept at using brushes, pens, markers, ink, and other media, and has established a unique style that combines vintage art and pop art. He has attracted many fans as an unusual portrait artist.
